About

Fia Ramo is an award-winning video editor with a passion for all things comedy, television and film.

One recruiter summed her up as, “a Senior Video Editor driving content marketing initiatives through video. Proven ability to lead projects from concept to delivery, partnering with strategists, writers, and production teams. Expertise spans branded and editorial content, with a focus on visual storytelling for major brands.” Luckily, this section was written by Fia so she gets to be a bit more verbose and grandiose.

Fia has produced, written and edited content for NBC, PBS, A+E Networks, Publicis and BDG. Her Digiday-nominated work with Dove and Publicis Groupe screened at Cannes, where the program won a Silver Lion.

A skilled visual storyteller with a love of screenwriting, Fia has a background in scripted and unscripted television, trailers and promos, documentary, short-form digital content, journalism, copywriting, social analytics, and narrative film. A resourceful, solution-oriented thinker who prioritizes storytelling, technique, efficiency and collaboration. She will always have passion for the editing bay, be it episodic television, narrative, or unscripted, offline and online editing, and ad agency work.

Recently, she’s been stretching creative muscles at Publicis Sapient. While she is always editing, Fia is now also creative directing and supervising the post-production pipeline for Sapient’s externally-facing video marketing. Building and maintaining the highest standards for pre-production ideation and post-production pipeline from scratch isn’t easy, but the variety of work engages all the creative muscles: entertaining editorial storytelling, brand-centric advertising, social campaigns, and unscripted documentary films.

You could previously find her working as a lead editor at Bustle Digital Group. During her tenure Fia edited award-winning branded and editorial content for BDG’s various sites and platforms (Bustle, Romper, Mic, Nylon, TZR, Input, Inverse, Elite Daily, W). Much of her focus was on creating values-driven content to elevate vulnerable, oft-unheard voices in collaboration with clients like Hulu, Adidas, Dove, Seventh Generation, GE, Unilever, and Ben & Jerry’s.

In the limited time she has between editing, creating graphics, working on-and-off scripts, and color correcting, Fia can be found drinking a nice cuppa tea and forgetting to use her standing desk. She loves craft beer (and cheap beer), deep television analysis, the Miami Dolphins, and fried chicken.

Getting her start in television production at NBC, Fia cut her teeth in multimedia and promo work at PBS. As a Production Coordinator, Associate Producer and Social Media Manager at Three Seas Inc, a DC post-house, Fia wrote and developed content with all the major networks in the Metro area.

In New York, she worked for 2.5 years at A+E networks as an Editor and Producer for History's first original short form digital series. She also worked across all of A+E's channels (Lifetime, History, A&E, FYI, Biography) to edit, produce and script 30+ pieces of original content weekly while overseeing the managing and training of a new team of Premiere editors.
